Hello! My name is Murray and I have a passion for maths and physics. I just love helping students unravel the beautiful mysteries of numbers and better understand how the world around them works. My goal is always to help my students “understand” rather than “rote learn”. With understanding comes the confidence to tackle more challenging problems…and with that confidence, a love of learning can flourish.
I am a civil engineer who has been helping students for nearly 40 years. When I’m not playing with numbers, I enjoy cycling and gardening.
Hi! My name is Kelly and I have always had a passion for learning and inspiring curiosity. I have been tutoring both formally and informally for almost a decade and have always enjoyed helping others get to that lightbulb moment. I believe in fostering a love of learning by connecting with students and finding ways to make what they are learning relevant to them and their own interests and goals.
My speciality is English, which I have studied at university and teach at all levels from Year 7 through to HSC Extension 1 & 2. I have a passion for literature and love helping students unravel complex themes, form their own opinions, and build the confidence and skill to communicate those opinions effectively. I believe everyone can find joy in stories, and aim to nurture that joy for every student I work with. That said, I am a business graduate and work full-time as an accountant, so can also assist with maths up to Year 12 Standard, as well as HSC Business Studies, Economics and Legal Studies.
When I’m not otherwise occupied, I can be found pursuing a variety of creative hobbies, playing video games, or working out!
Hi! My name is Billy and I’m currently studying Chemistry and Astrophysics at the Australian National University in Canberra. I’ve always had an affinity for maths and find it most rewarding when I understand not just the “how” but the “why”. I hope to help students reach that same point of clarity and confidence.
My main focus is Maths, which I tutor from Year 7 level all the way through to HSC Extension 1 & 2. I can also assist with HSC Physics and Chemistry. I aim to help students develop a strong conceptual understanding, because once things click, learning becomes more intuitive and enjoyable.
When I’m not studying or tutoring, I’m probably experimenting in the kitchen or exploring new parts of my beautiful city!
Who we are
MyMarks is a small, family-run tutoring service providing learning and study support to high school students across NSW.
We offer 1:1 tutoring services across the following subject areas, from Year 7 to Year 12:

Unlike some tutoring services, we take the time to genuinely care for our students, not just supporting their studies, but also helping them manage their own mental health as they balance their personal goals against external pressure to achieve results. In addition to teaching the core skills of the subject, we offer gentle guidance and structure for independent study and encouragement with homework, whilst also providing an understanding ear when it all gets a bit hard to cope.
Our classes are conducted via Zoom, saving you time and allowing for greater flexibility than in-person classes can offer.
